a roman skyline

A live gig, where the fickle singer grapples with a family history of forever moving on and never staying put, while resisting against the pull to fall in love with the city of Glasgow.

“I love as if I know

what any of this means,

as though I am not a sallow fool

spitting poems between blood and teeth

and maybe, I fear, you think,

if I hold you long enough,

know and write of you, you will become

a beautiful thing too

but there’s a butchery to this”
